We had this for dessert last night, minus the cocoa powder and ice cream, and used homemade coffee liqueur instead of Kahlua. Yum!

Tuesday:
mac and cheese (the best recipe)
sautéed baby mustard greens
leftover beef
unsuccessful stir-fried kohlrabi
Wednesday:
leftover mac and cheese
kohlrabi soup (added uneaten kohlrabi to veggie broth and pureed)

Cocktail: lemongrass ginger tequila, Sweet Lee orange, orange bitters, soda
Leftover salad
Turkey matzo ball soup (this matzo ball recipe with turkey fat and seltzer, plus parsley, cooked in the broth, not in salted water, with turkey, carrot and celery)
Chewy chocolate ginger cookies (from Martha Stewart, made with half butter and half coconut oil, 1/2 c wheat flour in place of all-purpose, only about 4 oz chocolate, no fresh ginger, 1/3 c light brown sugar instead of 1/2 c dark, a little black pepper and salt, and, instead of molasses, sorghum syrup bought from a young man outside the Alabama State Sacred Harp Musical Convention, "from Sand Mountain, where we live").

spicy corn soup with salsa verde
simmer:
1 pint corn (my uncle's garden)
~1 c chicken broth (Better than Bouillon)
saute in olive oil, then add to corn:
1/2 small onion
1 clove garlic
dash jalapeno
sprinkle:
curry powder (YDFM)
black pepper
immersion blend
add milk
drizzle with green salsa (Bell Street Burritos)

Fried rice with leftover chinese foods thrown in. Delicious! I recently read that the trick is to cook everything separately. I'm a convert.

a kind of carbonara: winter squash gnocchi with bacon, fried sage, asiago cheese, poached egg, fresh sorrel.
I just can't say no to something with egg on top.
If you do not know sorrel, I recommend you get acquainted. It's lemony!

pork bellies and steamed buns with homemade kimchi, etc.
brined roasted pork
seared scallops
shrimp scampi
sauteed greens
roasted delicata squash
steamed rice (mixture of black and sushi rice)
strawberries and mango with lime
Sunday, April 11:
leftovers of the above (except the pork belly which I ate all by myself)
fried rice with egg and green garlic
homemade ice cream (chocolate almond and coffee liqueur flavors)
kale chips (tear into pieces, toss with olive oil, salt and pepper, bake at 300 for about 20 min)
baked squash seeds
dishes from friends: chips and dips, chocolate cream pie, homegrown lettuce salad
The fried rice was the best.
